DAILY COMMODITY MARKET STRATEGY-1 Oct 2015

BULLION

Silver December future has gained 0.3 percent at $ 14.555.Platinum January 2016 delivery has advanced over 0.5 percent at $ 914.60.Gold December contract is slightly down at $ 1,114.50.

MCX Gold October futures today may seek support around Rs 25,680-26,630-25,575, while face resistance around Rs 26,030-26,080-26,140.

ENERGY

Crude Oil November expiry has jumped 1.3 percent at $ 45.69.Brent Oil and Natural Gas November series have added over 0.5 percent each at $ 48.77 and $ 2.540, respectively.

BASE METAL

Copper December contract has also spurted 1.3 percent at $ 2.371.

BULLION

Gold and Platinum January 2016 futures have declined 0.2-0.3 percent each at $ 1,124.50 and $ 916.55, respectively.Silver December contract is marginally up at $ 14.585.

ENERGY

Crude Oil November delivery has dropped over a percent at $ 44.75.Brent Oil November expiry has shed 0.5 percent at $ 47.85.Natural Gas November contract is slightly up at $ 2.591.

BASE METAL

Copper December delivery is quoted at $ 2.226 - up 0.3 percent.

Corporation Bank issues 15.66 cr preferential shares to Govt

State lender Corporation Bank has said that it has approved the issuance of over 15.66 crore shares on preferential basis to Government valued at about Rs857 crore. The bank also approved to issue over 2.8 crore equity shares to LIC worth over Rs142.99 crore. 'The meeting of the shareholders resolved and approved, to issue 15,66,15,497 equity shares at an issue price of Rs54.72 per share, to the Government i.e. the promoter,' the bank informed.

Maruti Suzuki to hike wages for temporary workers too

Maruti Suzuki is expected to offer a wage hike to its temporary workers also. The company recently hiked wages for permanent workers and the temporary workers have been demanding a similar increase.

Strides Arcolab to raise Rs 1,500 crore

The board of directors of Strides Arcolab has approved the proposal to raise long-term funds by way of issue of GDRs/ADRs /FCCBs/ QIP or such other equity linked instruments for an amount up to Rs1,500 crore including a green shoe option.

L&T Infotech files draft with SEBI for IPO

Larsen & Toubro Infotech, a subsidiary of L&T has filed draft red herring prospectus with the SEBI for IPO yesterday. The issue comprises of an offer for sale of up to 1.75 crore equity shares of the face value Re1 each by Larsen & Toubro. – Positive for L&T due to potential value unlocking.

Gold and Silver December futures are marginally up at $ 1,131.80 and $ 14.550, respectively.Platinum January 2016 contract is down 0.2 percent at $ 915.75.

MCX Gold October futures today may face resistance around Rs 26,650-26,700-26,745, while seek support around Rs 26,355-26,310-26,265.

ENERGY

Crude Oil, Brent Oil and Natural Gas November series are almost unchanged at $ 44.45, $ 47.37 and $ 2.670, respectively.

BASE METAL

Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd (RECL) has announced that the company has on September 23, 2015 signed Memorandum of Understanding ( MoU) with Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation and Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh, for extending financial assistance to: 1. Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation (APGENCO) of Rs3,000 crore for the proposed 500 MW Solar Power Generation Project in Anantapur District of Andhra Pradesh; and 2. Transmission Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (APTRANSCO) of Rs6,000 crore for various Transmission & System improvement projects coming up in the Capital region of Andhra Pradesh.

DAILY COMMODITY MARKET STRATEGY-24 Sep 2015

BULLION

Gold and Silver December futures have gained 0.2-0.3 percent at $ 1,134.30 and $ 14.815, respectively.Platinum October future has rallied 1.8 percent at $ 949.90.

ENERGY

Crude Oil November future has spurted nearly a percent at $ 44.86.Brent Oil November future has added 0.5 percent at $ 48.08.Natural Gas October future remains unchanged at $ 2.569.

BASE METAL

Copper December future has moved 0.4 percent higher at $ 2.304.On Thursday trading gains are expected to get resisted at Rs 342 and 344 per kg. Floor for Copper is at Rs 337 and Rs 335 per kg.

The high for Copper on Wednesday was at Rs 343.20 per kg, and a low of Rs 338.50 per kg was tested.

BULLION

Silver December future is down 0.2 percent in early trade at $ 15.190.Gold December and Platinum October series are trading flat at $ 1,133.10 and $ 972,respectively.

MCX Gold October futures today may seek support around Rs 26,245-26,215-26,185, while face resistance around Rs 26,445-26,475-26,505.

ENERGY

Crude Oil November contract has slipped almost a percent at $ 46.50.Brent Oil November delivery is slightly up at $ 48.55.Natural Gas November future is quoted at $ 2.568 - down 0.3 percent.

BASE METAL

Copper December contract has declined 0.4 percent at $ 2.380.On Tuesday trading gains are expected to get resisted at Rs 355 and 357 per kg. Floor for Copper is at Rs 349 and Rs 345 per kg.

The high for Copper on Monday was at Rs 354.65 per kg, and a low of Rs 349.90 per kg was tested.

SKS Micro drops on failing to bag small bank license

SKS Microfinance drops over 16%, touching to Rs376.65, after the company failed to bag the small bank license from the Reserve Bank of India. The Reserve Bank of India ( RBI) on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, granted 10 entities in-principle licences to open small finance banks. Ujjivan Financial Services, Janalakshmi Financial Services and Equitas Holdings are among the 10 entities. The others are Au Financiers (India), Capital Local Area Bank, Disha Microfin, ESAF Microfinance and Investments, RGVN (North East) Microfinance, Suryoday Micro Finance and Utkarsh Micro Finance.

DHFL up on bank license setback

Dewan Housing Finance Corporation Ltd (DHFL) rose nearly to Rs225, as the company failed to find a place on the list of 10 NBFCs that were granted small bank licenses by the Reserve Bank of India ( RBI).

Tata Steel to sell shares in Tata Motors worth up to $188 mn

Tata Steel Ltd will sell shares in automaker Tata Motors Ltd worth up to $188 million, according to reports on Friday. The shares are being offered in an indicative range of Rs324.50 to Rs338.05 each, with the deal worth up to Rs12.5 billion, the terms showed.The lowest price in the range represents a discount of up to 4% to their September 16 close of Rs338.05.

Tata Motors introduces new Safari Storme in Nepal

Tata Motors, engaged in the business of automobile products announced that it has introduced the updated version of its sports utility vehicle ( SUV) Safari Storme in Nepal which will be priced at NPR 42.25 lakh.

The company whose operating segments include automotive operations and all other operations will sell the LX variant of the vehicle at NPR 42.25 lakh and the high-end VX trim at NPR 56.85 lakh.

Jubilant Life Sciences gets ANDA nod for Zolmitriptan ODT Tablets

Gold December future has jumped almost a percent at $ 1,127.20.Silver December contract has gained 0.3 percent at $ 15.035.Platinum October delivery has slipped a percent at $ 974.30.

ENERGY

Crude Oil October expiry has declined 0.4 percent at $ 46.73.Brent Oil November and Natural Gas October series are slightly down at $ 49.13 and $ 2.647, respectively.

BASE METAL

Copper December contract has dropped a per cent at $ 2.438.Copper prices gained on the session ending Thursday. Copper ended the day at Rs 363.45 on 17 September 2015 against 361.20 per kg on 16 Sep 2015.

The high for Copper on Thursday was at Rs 364.80 per kg, and a low of Rs 361.05 per kg was tested.

M&M launches its e-commerce platform M2ALL

Mahindra & Mahindra ( M&M) has launched its e-commerce platform M2ALL. The website will offer products such as vehicles, two wheelers, real estate and power solutions. Within two years the platform will offer all of Mahindra’s group’s products and services. The platform has begun taking bookings for the new compact SUV i.e. Mahindra TUV3OO. Although the e-commerce platform will have little significance in the near-medium term, the group could leverage benefits of the e-commerce platform in the long term.

Corporation Bank gains as LIC looks to infuse funds

Corporation Bank has announced that subsequent to the decision of the Government of India to infuse upto Rs857 crore in the bank, the bank has received a proposal from Life insurance Corporation of India ( LIC) expressing its intention to infuse Rs143 crore into the capital funds of the bank by way of issue of equity shares on preferential basis to LIC. Corporation Bank's board yesterday, September 14, 2015, approved allotting upto 2.81 crore equity shares at Rs50.78 each, aggregating to Rs142.99 crore on preferential basis to LIC.

Adlabs’s Novotel Imagica to have 116 rooms

Adlabs Entertainment’s Novotel Imagica will be launched in mids of September 2015, located close to its theme park at Khopoli. In the first phase of operations, 116 rooms will be operational and the company expects to be fully operational (with287 rooms) by end of FY2016. The company will pay fix rate of 5-6% of revenues to Accor Hotel for managing the Novotel hotel. On the business front, the management has indicated of becoming free cash flow positive by end of the current fiscal.

Alok Industries receives additional $50 mn under EPBG Scheme

India's largest fully integrated textile company Alok Industries said that it has received an additional advance amounting to $ 50 million on September 11, 2015 under the Export Performance Bank Guarantee Scheme (EPBG).The company has now received an additional advance amounting to $ 50 million on September 11, 2015 under the Export Performance Bank Guarantee Scheme taking the total export advance received till date to $ 825 million.

Nava Bharat jumps after inking deal with Tata Steel

Nava Bharat Ventures surged over 7%, touching to Rs144.9, after the company said that it has entered into an agreement with Tata Steel for conversion of chrome ore into ferro chrome. Nava Bharat Ventures announced that the company has entered into an agreement with Tata Steel (TSL) for conversion of chrome ore into ferro chrome, and the arrangement will commence upon the receipt of ore and reductants from TSL during this month.
