The market started off last day of the year on a positive note.

Stock Tips
The Sensex rose 36.08 points to 25996.11 and the Nifty gained 9.25 points at 7905.50.

Coal India, Dr Reddy's Labs, Infosys, Tata Steel, Hindalco and Idea Cellular were early gainers while ONGC, NTPC, ICICI Bank, HUL, Adani Ports, PNB, Power Grid Corporation and BPCL lost ground.

The Indian rupee opened lower by 6 paise at 66.45 per dollar on Thursday against previous day's closing value of 66.39 a dollar.

Asian markets traded flat today, the final trading session of 2015. The Japanese and South Korean markets remain closed today. On Wednesday, the Nikkei 225 rounded off a 9.3 percent gain for 2015. Stock markets in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and New Zealand will also shut earlier than usual.

EQUITY MARKET NEWS- 30 Dec 2015

Stock Tips
Equity benchmarks continued to consolidate ahead of expiry of December derivative contracts (due on Thursday). Infra and metals stocks gained while heavyweights Reliance Industries and ICICI Bank dragged.

The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 1.94 points to 26081.42 and the 50-share NSE Nifty was up 1.85 points at 7930.80. The broader markets outperformed benchmarks with the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices rising nearly half a percent.

The market breadth was positive as nearly two shares advanced for every share declining on the Bombay Stock Exchange.

ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries, Lupin, Sun Pharma, Hero Motocorp and Bajaj Auto fell 0.3-0.9 percent.

The market has opened marginally higher on Tuesday morning.

Stock Tips
The Sensex rose 51.81 points to 26085.94 and the Nifty gained 3.85 points at 7929.

NTPC, Lupin, Adani Ports, Tata Steel and GAIL were early gainers while Maruti Suzuki, ICICI Bank, ONGC, ITC, TCS, Cairn India and HCL Tech were under pressure.

Sensex extends gains, Nifty hits 7900; Tata Motors surges

Equity benchmarks extended gains in morning trade with the Nifty reclaiming 7900 for the first time since December 3, aided by banks, auto, pharma, FMCG and technology stocks.

Sensex opens higher, Nifty still below 7750;

Equity benchmarks extended gains for the third consecutive session today, driven by positive global peers ahead of outcome of Federal Reserve's two-day policy meeting.

The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 195.36 points or 0.77 percent to 25515.80 and the 50-share NSE Nifty climbed 59.85 points or 0.78 percent to 7760.75. The broader markets also traded in line with benchmarks as the BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices gained 0.8 percent each.

The Sensex is up 92.40 points or 0.4 percent at 25412.84, and the Nifty up 24.35 points or 0.3 percent at 7725.25.

MCX Crude Oil at days high

On 01 December, the energy futures rallied above Rs 2,800, but however pared gains to settle with a loss of almost a percent (Rs 25) at Rs 2,773. It has also tumbled over 3.5 percent (Rs 103) in the past five trading sessions.

Right now, MCX December Crude Oil futures are trading at the highest point of the day - with a gain of 0.5 percent (Rs 15) at Rs 2,787, on account of short-covering and weakness in Indian Rupee versus dollar.

The market is still flat as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has maintained status

The Sensex is up 31.16 points at 26176.83 and the Nifty up 22.25 points at 7957.50. About 1399 shares have advanced, 839 shares declined, and 98 shares are unchanged.

The RBI has kept benchmark repo rate unchanged at 6.75 percent, after lowering it by 50 basis points, or front-loading policy action in September. The RBI has cut repo rate four times (125 basis points) since January 2015. Current CRR and SLR stand at 4 percent and 21.5 percent respectively.

DAILY COMMODITY MARKET STRATEGY- 30 Nov 2015

BULLION

Gold February 2016 future is witnessing selling pressure, and is down 1.3 percent to $ 1,056.20.Silver December future is up 0.2 percent at 14.030.Platinum January future has shed around a percent at $ 830.30.

ENERGY

Crude Oil January future is quoted at $ 41.80 - up 0.2 percent.Brent Oil January future is down 0.2 percent at $ 44.81.Natural Gas January future has declined more than half a percent at $ 2.212.

Crude Oil December futures are at Rs 2780 while resistance for Crude Oil is at Rs 2880.

BASE METAL

Copper March future has dropped almost a percent at $ 2.047.Copper ended the day at Rs 310.80 per kg on 27 November 2015 against 313.55 per kg on 26 November 2015.

The high for Copper February was at Rs 314.75 per kg, and a low of Rs 309.70 per kg was tested.

BULLION

Silver December future has declined 0.4 percent at $ 14.100.Platinum January and Gold December futures are down 0.2-0.3 percent each at $ 851.30 and $ 1,067, respectively.

Gold gained in the intraday trades ending Thursday. The session saw Gold closing at Rs 25,281 per 10 grams on 26 November 2015 against Rs 25,222 on 25 November 2015.Gold price tested a high of Rs 25,337 per 10 grams on 26 November 2015 and a low of Rs 25,250 per 10 grams.

ENERGY

Crude Oil January future slipped 1.4 percent to $ 42.46.Brent Oil January future shed 0.5 percent at $ 45.38.Natural Gas January future has dropped around a percent at $ 2.239.

Prices of Crude Oil were sideways session ending Thursday. On MCX far month contract ended at Rs 2,851 per barrel on 26 November 2015 against Rs 2,860 per barrel on 25 November 2015.

BASE METAL

Copper March future is marginally up at $ 2.092.The high for Copper was at Rs 311.05 per kg, and a low of Rs 300.45 per kg was tested.
