Indian Indices:
Indian equities are likely to open flat with a slightly positive bias on Tuesday, as traders remained wary ahead of key monetary policy meeting from the US Federal Reserve and surge in crude oil prices. SGX Nifty is trading 0.50 points higher.
The investors will also keep an eye on November CPI inflation which will be announced later in the day
NSE Nifty fell 1.1% on Monday, snapping two session of gains, as IT stocks were hit by tough talk on visas by U.S. president-elect Donald Trump, while oil retailers declined after crude prices surged to their highest since mid-2015. The S&P BSE Sensex and CNX Nifty dipped 0.87%-1.10% each.
The 30-share benchmark index closed trade at 26515.24, fell by 231.94 points or by 0.87%, and the NSE Nifty ended at 8170.80, slipped by 90.95 points or by 1.10%.
Global Market:
Asian shares were on tenterhooks on Tuesday as investors awaited the Federal Reserve's meeting that begins later in session for clues on the outlook for U.S. monetary policy, while crude oil prices pulled back after their surge to 18-month highs.
European shares rose to their highest in eleven months on Thursday as the European Central Bank's unexpected decision to cut its monthly asset purchases helped banks extend their rally.
US stocks ended mostly lower, barring the Dow Jones Industrial Average, as investors remained wary ahead of key monetary policy meeting from the US Federal Reserve
